Choose Righteousness

(Matthew 5:7) “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” According to the teachings of Jesus, kindness should be extended to everyone, even though we may feel that they do not deserve kindness. Acts of Kindness reflects the character of God and highlights the transformative power that it has on our life, and most importantly, on the lives of others.

God desires a close relationship with his children. This illustration shows God and man interacting as they complete a jigsaw puzzle. It should challenge believers to pursue a true relationship with God through intimacy, obedience and faith. “You are my friends if you do what I command” (John 15:14).

Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses (Proverbs 10:12). The world is marked by division and social disconnection. It is important that we love others and show kindness in order to heal and connect with others. Make it your goal to love generously and witness how doing so will have a profound impact on your life and most importantly the lives of others.

When God created the Earth and humans, He had diversity in mind which is evident by his vast creation. Can you imagine a world with no diversity, and everything looks was the same? Diversity should be embraced by everyone because it enriches our lives and fosters unity. Discrimination and hate goes against the heart of the gospel. We should focus our attention on loving God and our neighbor. (Provers 22:2) "Rich and poor have this in common: The Lord is the Maker of them all."

(Psalm 91:4) "He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart". The Bible teaches us the God watches, guides and shields His followers and offers safety and refuge in times of trouble. Trust and obey the Lord. Seek His presence through prayer and study His word daily.

God is loving and full of mercy. He desires for all to turn away from sin. It is important that we acknowledge our sins, turn away from them and seek God’s forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

God is love, and believers are called to show selfless, unconditional love to others through compassion, forgiveness, and generosity. “A new commandment I give to you: Love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:34-35).

It is important for adults to pray for the protection of children. Prayer is the most powerful thing that we can do for children. It is a protecting agent and crucial for protection, growth and development.

Actively seek God’s presence and make Him the center of your daily thoughts. Seek Him with your whole heart by praying, worshiping, and obeying his commandments. Desire to Become a Friend of God.

The Bible teaches the importance of showing love and compassion towards everyone, regardless of their ethnicity or background. We are called to treat others as we would like to be treated. We are all God’s children and should embrace our unique differences. We were created in God’s image, and we are described as being fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7). After the door is opened, God takes residence in our hearts, and his perfect love overflows within us. His love transforms us, and we begin to experience the peace that
only Jesus can offer. Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he
is near (Isaiah 55:6).

Matthew 25:31 sets the stage of the separation of the righteous and wicked. The sheep to His right represent those who showed others mercy, compassion and were obedient to God. The goat on His left represents the individuals that only thought of themselves and did not have a relationship with God. How will you be categorized?
